Straightedge SI is organized in five parts.
Each part covers one surface of a piece of software.
Part 1, Interface. Typography, color, spacing, shape, motion, components, content and accessibility. Everything a person sees. Free, full text public, files downloadable today.
Part 2, REST APIs. 33 rules in 7 sections: authentication, authorization, input, output and errors, design, transport and headers, logging.
Part 3, Backend. 39 rules in 8 sections: secrets, passwords and sessions, database, files and uploads, outbound requests and execution, dependencies, cryptography and transport, errors and logging.
Part 4, Frontend. 21 rules in 6 sections: rendering, Content Security Policy, authentication state, requests, third party code, build and delivery.
Part 5, Infrastructure. 24 rules in 6 sections: transport, headers and cookies, processes and privileges, environments and deployment, backups and recovery, monitoring and updates.
Above all five parts sit eight universal principles that every part follows. Those are next.
